    He said "most people don't get cancer" Correction: currently 1 in 2 people get cancer in their lifetime. This so-called cancer biology expert also fails to mention the metabolic theory of cancer, even when discussing why youth cancer rates have skyrocketed. Small wonder that in his decades-long career, this man has achieved absolutely no significant advances against cancer. What a joke.

    I have been having Bowel Cancer Screening since 2000 and never has any problem until the last one where it found a problem. I had Colonoscopy in May which showed I had bowel cancer, since then I have had blood tests galore, CT scan with dye which thankfully showed it hadn't spread. I had pre assessment last week and now wait for date for 6 hr op to remove right side of bowel and then reconnected to small bowel by keyhole surgery I feel really lucky that my GP sent me for the bowel screening every 2 yrs it was my last one this year as well as I turn 75 in September and it is only applies upto 74 yrs of age. I didn't really have any symtons except in February my blood test came back that I had an infection in my body.

      How regularly did you do for screening test? Because it is quite strange that in 10 years it back always negative. If you did every year it is quite difficult it may fail in absence of symptoms.

    The doctor "monitored"her for 8 months checking her blood when the doctor should have performed a colonoscopy since she was having symptoms and was anemic what a f****** joke these doctors are something else if it was them or one of their family members you think they would sit around and want to be monitored heck no they would get a colonoscopy right away

    Unfortunately this is why I get so frustrated with the NHS. Having a family history of the same conditions, and having all the main symptoms should trigger a full investigation on the NHS 2 week wait referral system. The NHS is great on the 2 week system, but simply getting the support is another thing completely .... Poorly trained or poorly informed GPs are the biggest problem.

    • @wewekokowe6887
      @wewekokowe6887 4 года назад

      I think old people should have their own doctor not the GP, if you go to work and you are young you can’t get an appointment as it is a geriatric clubhouse

    • @YakobtoshiNakamoto
      @YakobtoshiNakamoto 2 года назад

      Agreed. A big problem is in this country we seemed to have this view that you absolutely cannot criticise the NHS in any way. That has now been exasperated by Covid. The NHS is great but it does have issues. And until we get more vocal about them nothing is going to change unfortunately.
